Open Microsoft Teams (MS 365 site) in Multiple Windows at Once

This article provides steps to open multiple Teams windows. If you want to sign in to MS 365 website using multiple accounts, we suggest that you use one browser for one account and a different browser for the other account. Any 2 browsers should work, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Edge. You can use whichever browser you want. 


Follow these instructions to open multiple Teams windows:


If using this for different accounts, open an incognito window .


These steps are for use with Google Chrome web browser. 

  1. Go to teams.microsoft.com
  2. Sign in as required
  3. Install the site as an app
  4. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of your browser
  5. Click "more tools"
  6. Then click "create shortcut"
  7. Give the shortcut a name, example: My Org MS Teams
  8. Check the box to open a new window
  9. The icon for the shortcut should now be on the taskbar (Windows) or dock (Mac's)
    1. Windows:
      1. Right-click the icon
      2. Click "Pin to taskbar" 
    2. Mac:
      1. Control click
      2. Options
      3. Keep in dock
